Wait, maybe I do..
Its to share this song, that strangely inspires me, A LOT.
and shockingly enough, it's rap. haha :P
The Song Coming Home.
The cover, Actually.
By one of my most favorite bands ever.
Boyce Avenue <3
The lyrics...
"I've been away for awhile,
I gave my word when I return
I come back with a smile
or I don't come back at all
The world is throwing blows
but I ain't backing off
I miss my son up in my arms
miss my homies, miss my mom's home cooking
with the bomb
I am coming home
I am coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
This one's for all my people in the struggle, unemployed
or workking double shifts, take your head and lift it in the air
one fist in the air,
Reach for the stars, you're almost there
You can't make it, I've been there
You can't take it I've been there
Given that all the hope is gone,
find something to focus on
you need motivation,
That's the reason why we play this song
to let you know you're not out in this world on your own
and the only time you're going back is when you're going home"
The first time I heard the song, it wasn't any special,
just a normal song, until I paid closer attention to the lyrics.
All it reminded me off, was the soldiers.
The men who risk their lives for our country, with a smile on their faces
and yet not being appreciated enough.
Actually no, they can never be appreciated enough, for the courage it takes to leave your mother, and your wife and kids back home to fight for people's lives risking your own, is something you can take a lifetime trying to appreciate and it will never be enough.
Personally, I think all these brave soldiers should be the highest paid, more than anyone else.
Because they are not only risking their lives, for you, but also sacrificing it with a proud smile on their faces, and immense amount of respect.
This song also reminds me of how these soldiers have a hope of returning back to the families they left behind, finally being able to see their smiling faces and tell them they are back, safe and sound.
Holding on to hope and working hard to make it through, keeping the smile on your face, through all the rough times is something I learn from these strong, amazing men.
And I don't know when everyone will start seeing the value of the men, but all I want to say is, they have all my respect and love.
and saying thank you would be a big understatement, but still THANK YOU,
for everything.
for such an inspiration to our generation.
every single thing.
-IMMENSE AMOUNT OF RESPECT-
